I find it interesting the path to which I (perhaps my generation) discovers things. I first heard Devo’s “Gut Feeling” in an incredible scene from The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. So my initial interest in Wes Anderson has led me to a a huge appreciation of Mark Mothersbaugh.

His endless contributions to cartoons, films, and the stage are strong examples of his unique vision and ability to capture the energy of a moment through music. 

His distinctive style cultivates such a wide ranged demographic, which is a common trait that I’ve found in several of my influences. 

Also, I just love what he’s doing on Yo Gabba Gabba!
